The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host a free public lecture on the new health insurance marketplace in Alaska Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Murie Building on the UAF West Ridge.
Susan Johnson, the Region 10 director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will speak about new health insurance policies and how they will affect Alaskans. The event will also include time for attendees to ask questions.
Free parking for the lecture is available behind the UA Museum of the North. The lecture is presented by UAF Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning, in association with Fairbanks Memorial Hospital/Denali Center and the UAF Cooperative Extension Service.
