The Office of College Admissions at the University of Chicago is extending the deadline for Early Action applications to Nov. 8, 2013 for anyone experiencing technical difficulties with the Common Application.
The move is in response to problems that students around the nation have reported with the redesigned Common Application. The revised deadline also applies to QuestBridge National College Match applicants.
“We want to let you know that we are aware of these issues and stand ready to help in any way we can,” wrote James G. Nondorf, UChicago’s dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, in an Oct. 16 letter sent to students who have begun their application or expressed interest. “This time of year can be stressful, and technology glitches should be the last thing on families’ and counselors’ minds,” Nondorf wrote.
Applicants or counselors with further questions may reach out to College Admissions at [email protected], or call 773.702.8650.
